Nascar & Spike TV: #iamdale
With a few members of the band growing up in Charlotte and Concord, we are feeling pretty humbled to find out our song "Truck Stop Man" was used in Nascar with Spike TV's "I Am Dale Earnhardt" special that just aired on Monday, March 2nd, 2015! Many thanks to the fine folks there for including us in a such a great special.

You can watch the full special now online at SPIKE.com and listen for Jack the Radio at the 18 minute mark!
Spike TV and #iamdale inspired this week's throwback Thursday to the time we played a 2011 radio event at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on the inside of the track for debut of the world's largest HD tv screen (that's it about 100 yards behind us) measuring at 200 feet by 80 feet! They were kind enough to feed us and let us hang around for the race.
To top things off Chris ended up live on the air, on the big screen during the race. Shout out to the Speed network's crew!

Jack the Radio's "Wild West Woman" - NEW TRACK
On August 26th, 2014 North Carolina's Jack the Radio will officially debut their first new studio track since 2012 online (at jacktheradio.bandcamp.com) and as a limited 7-inch vinyl single.
After releasing the acoustic live-concert album Devil In Here last fall, the slide-slinging roots rockers have plugged in and hit the studio to record a fresh batch of songs that see them returning to form with the gritty, foot-stomping sound that helped earn them a solid reputation in the local music community.
Titled Wild West Woman, the two-track album will feature the new release "Wheels" as an A-side, and includes "Just What I Need (Reprise)" as a B-side. "Just What I Need" was first heard on Jack the Radio's debut album, and has been featured prominently on many national and international television placements. On a particularly restless day at Chapel Hill's Warrior Sound, the band decided to record an updated take on the tune reflecting its evolution over years of live performances.
This new track is the first teaser for the band's next studio album, tentatively scheduled for release in early 2015.
