New Album & Release Show: Jack the Radio Badlands

Raleigh, North Carolina's rising indie-roots-rockers Jack the Radio will release their first studio album in over three years on October 20th, 2015. The album, entitled Badlands, is a twelve song, two-act musical journey inspired by sci-fi Spaghetti Western themes, and features guest vocals from Elizabeth Hopkins (courtesy of Warner Bros. Records) and BJ Barham and cover art by David Paul Seymour.

The album will be released as a limited pressing on 12-inch colored vinyl (in bone white or splatter blue). Each record will come with a digital download card, and the first 100 pre-orders will also include limited edition posters designed by Alexis Ziritt.

Jack the Radio has worked their way to the upper-tier of Triangle bands, playing some of the areas biggest stages with acts including Hall & Oates at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre, George Thorogood at Memorial Auditorium, and the Cold War Kids at Red Hat Ampitheatre.

The band will celebrate the Badlands release at Lincoln Theatre on Friday, October 16th and have teamed up with Band Together, a volunteer-led non-profit organization, to give a portion of tickets sales to charity.

Jack the Radio & Band Together entertains on WRAL TV!

A couple members of Jack the Radio had the unique privilege of doing a live television performance on WRAL TV.  The performance aired a couple times on Tuesday, April 29th, 2014.  If you missed it you can now watch the performance along with Band Together's executive director, Matt Strickland talking about Band Together's 2014 mission and the big event at Walnut Creek on May 3rd.

The guys debuted a new song called "City Slippin" and the band plans to perform the full band, debut of the song at Walnut Creek on May 3rd complete with a sax solo.  Big thank you goes out to the Band Together team and to Bill Leslie and the WRAL crew for being some welcoming hosts.

Jack the Radio wins Last Band Standing

We are speechless. Last night's event at Lincoln Theatre was incredible to say the least. If you haven't heard, Jack the Radio won the last band standing event, which means we get to open for Hall & Oates and Robert Randolph & the Family Band at Walnut Creek on May 3rd!!!

Many thanks to Jim Graves and the entire Band Together crew for putting together a packed out and amazing event, which best of all raised money for children's charities. And to Lincoln Theatre and everyone that came out to the event, you guys rock!
